Off Hartwood Marsh Road
Hartwood Reserve
Hartwood Reserve is a gated community of about 300 single-family homes, built mostly between 2005 and 2010. It sits just south of Hartwood Marsh Road, between US-27 and Avalon Road. Local listings describe a clubhouse, a pool with spa, a fitness center, lighted tennis and basketball courts and a playground.

Hartwood Landing
Hartwood Landing is a newer, gated Dream Finders Homes community near Hartwood Marsh Road and the Hancock Road extension. Ben Laube Homes lists it as sold out with Dream Finders. Its listed amenities are a community pool and cabana, walking and bike trails and a playground.
Central Clermont
Between US-27 and the Turnpike
Waterbrooke
Waterbrooke is a gated Mattamy Homes community south of SR-50, between US-27 and Florida's Turnpike. The Florida Agents reported in March 2023 that Mattamy was still building there. NewHomeSource lists a clubhouse, a pool with cabana and splash pad, a fitness center, a yoga lawn, trails, a playground and a dog park, and the community has several lakes and ponds.
Lost Lake Reserve
Lost Lake Reserve is a 423.5-acre master-planned area at Johns Lake Road and US-27, about two miles south of the SR-50 and US-27 interchange (Lerner Advisors). The plan set aside an 11-acre city park on Lake Felter with ball fields, tennis and basketball courts, and a park around Eagle Lake. Lost Lake Elementary School opened in fall 2000.
Homes.com describes the single-family homes here as Spanish-style, many on larger lots than newer subdivisions, with a community pool and playground.
Clermont, ZIP 34715
Highland Ranch
Highland Ranch sits along Blackstill Lake Road west of Florida's Turnpike. Its main section, The Canyons at Highland Ranch, has 488 homesites built by Taylor Morrison between 2015 and 2020 on roughly quarter-acre lots (Realty in Orlando).

- About four miles of walking and nature trails
Next door, Esplanade at Highland Ranch is a separate gated 55+ community of 475 homes, also by Taylor Morrison. It has its own clubhouse, pools, pickleball and bocce. See the golf communities page for more on it.

South Clermont Along US-27
Sawgrass Bay
Sawgrass Bay is off US-27 at Sawgrass Bay Boulevard, close to SR-429. KB Home opened its section in October 2018 with plans from about 1,500 to 3,000 square feet, and Lennar and Taylor Morrison have also built here. KB Home listed a pool and playground among the community amenities.
Serenoa
Serenoa is a large master-planned community east of US-27 and south of Lake Louisa State Park, reached from US-27 by Sawgrass Bay Boulevard. The Florida Agents reported in April 2023 that developer Kolter Land Partners planned about 1,600 home lots and sold sections to builders including D.R. Horton and Pulte.
Each section has its own pool. Serenoa Lakes adds a clubhouse and a private kayak dock. Palms at Serenoa, built by D.R. Horton, is a gated 55+ section with a clubhouse, pool, pickleball and bocce.
On the Clermont and Winter Garden edge
Johns Lake Pointe
Johns Lake Pointe often shows up in Clermont searches, but it has a Winter Garden mailing address (34787). It sits off Avalon Road on a peninsula between Johns Lake and Black Lake. Meritage Homes and CalAtlantic Homes, now part of Lennar, built about 322 single-family homes here, mostly between 2007 and 2019.
Its HOA page lists a resort-style pool overlooking a central pond, a clubhouse with a fitness center, tennis courts, a playground and a walking trail. It does not list a community dock on Johns Lake, so ask before you assume lake access.

- Which schools is this address assigned to today? Check with Lake County Schools, or Orange County Public Schools for a Winter Garden address.

- Is the gate staffed, or is it a code or remote gate?
- Is lake access shared, private to some lots, or not included at all?
- How is the drive to work at the hour you would actually make it?
